With this option, all curly/smart quotes, including single opening (‘), single closing (’), double opening (“), double closing (”), single prime (′), double prime (″), and triple prime (‴), are assertively converted to regular straight quotes (" and ').
Use Smart Quotes
This option swaps out straight quotes with curly quotes. It meticulously identifies where to place curly quotes, instead of merely substituting all instances of (" and ') with curly alternatives (“ and ’). It can automatically differentiate between the beginning and end of a quote, possessive conjunctions, abbreviated years, and more.
